| Tottenham Hotspur full-back Pascal Chimbonda has apologised for his behaviour in the Carling Cup final.
Chimbonda reacted angrily to being substituted during the second half of Spurs' 2-1 extra-time win over Chelsea on Sunday.
With Spurs trailing to Didier Drogba's free-kick, Chimbonda was replaced by Tom Huddlestone just past the hour mark.
The France international headed straight down the tunnel upon being substituted, but has now apologised to his team-mates.
Annoyed
"I was annoyed at being taken off in such an important match," said Chimbonda in The Sun.
"But the manager has explained his reasons and I have apologised to my team-mates for my behaviour.
"They understand and everything is fine." _________________ To dare is to do |

| Gotta disagree there, Oz.
He's recognised he was outta order and apologised to the team. Fair play to him. |

| | It ain't the first time Chimbo's thrown his toys out. I think his attitude stinks. He's clearly lost his RB position to Hutton and unless he bucks up his ideas when playing LB he'll definitely be shipped out in the summer. I don't see much of a future for Chimbo at Spurs as Bale and Gilberto will be ahead in the pecking order once fit. If we can ship him out to Komical Kev's Revolution for 4-6m then that's good business. |
