I think Steed played well and his fitness seemed good. I recall one particular incident well into the last quarter of the game where he lost the ball and then tracked back 50 yards to win it back. Soon after he was subbed. After that we came under constant pressure, they ran us ragged in midfield, where Bruce Lee had to conceed a freekick with an awful tackle. Set piece, no clearence, 1-2, good night.

Personally, I think it's the likes of Chimbo, Daws, Lee, Zokora, Berbatov, Jenas and of course PieMan THudd who need to improve fitness. Bent just needs to be shipped out.

I still believe Bent should be given more time. Apart from his eagerness to join Spurs over West Ham, he was the top English premier goal scorer in consecutive seasons with an unfashionable club.

Besides, with the exception of Keane, no-one has been performing like they should this season.

I think Huddlestone will be shown the door first. Wink

Jenas is allegedly one of the fittest players around - his problem is that his endless running is totally random and bears no relation to what is actually required from him during a game. I've said before that players need to be athletes theses days, but they also need to have a modicum of understanding of the game and Jenas fails miserably in that.

I don't think fitness is a major problem at Spurs. Zokora and Jenas both have engine. Problem lies elsewhere.

I think fitness is a major problem. In particular, if we are to play with pace the way top sides do and the way Ramos favours, we will need optimum fitness.

Steed has probably been our best midfielder this season, but in the earlier games in particular he seemed to go off the boil part-way through the second half.

However, Zokora, Jenas and Keane are definitely fit enough with very good engines.

And Hudd (not joking or poking fun here) is very unfit. There was a moment in the second half against Blackburn where he was by-passing and almost looked as if he has to pysche himself up to begin tracking back.

I agree with Number 10. We are appalingly unfit which is the main reason we conceed late. Poor old Mido was gasping for a Kebab and a Rothmans light 70 minutes after kick off. Watch the scum or Chelsea or Man U and see, when required, how they have such speed, and strength to last them 90 minutes. C Ronaldo and Rooney are making blistering runs on 92 minutes whilst it's as much as Berbatov can do to adjust his headband. GET THOSE JOKERS FIT RAMOUSE
