| I agree with that.
Although we conceded in the last minute (again and again and again) I thought the team performance was excellent.
I don't think Jol will go now for the time being, although I am still of the opinion that if a better coach is available we shd replace him. However, that doesn't seem to be the case at the moment with Ramos staying in Spain and Jose contractually bound not to join another PL club this season.
Anyway, after the international break, up until the end of 2007 we will play 4 UEFA Cup group games, at least two Carling Cup games (we must beat Blackpool, surely) and 11 league games. I'm hoping that our good form in Europe will spill over into the league, as per last season, and that by 1 January 2008 we'll be top 8 in the league and through to the last 32 of the UEFA Cup. The draw for the Carling Cup QF will determine whether we're also in the semi-final there, but it cd well happen.
Feeling a lot more positive than I have all season! Maybe it was sitting next to hairy last night that has done it... |

| You also sat next to me and I am mr violent mood swings when it comes to Spurs! However, certainly lots of positives from yesterday and plenty of reason to be optimistic. Let's not forget how well we played at Old Trafford too.
Monday, 22 October 2007 Barclays Premier League Newcastle v Tottenham, 20:00 Draw? Saturday, 27 October 2007 Barclays Premier League Tottenham v Blackburn, 15:00 Win Wednesday, 31 October 2007 Carling Cup Tottenham v Blackpool, R4, 20:00 Win Saturday, 03 November 2007 Barclays Premier League Middlesbrough v Tottenham, 15:00 Win? Saturday, 10 November 2007 Barclays Premier League Tottenham v Wigan, 15:00 Win Sunday, 25 November 2007 Barclays Premier League West Ham v Tottenham, 13:30 too close to call. Draw? Saturday, 01 December 2007 Barclays Premier League Tottenham v Birmingham, 15:00 win Saturday, 08 December 2007 Barclays Premier League Tottenham v Man City, 15:00 win/draw? Saturday, 15 December 2007 Barclays Premier League Portsmouth v Tottenham, 15:00 draw? That means: 7wins, 3draws, 1 loss. 24 more points, leaving us on 31 points from 20 games.
Perhaps a bit optimstic but a reasonable target, working out as close to 60 points over the season.
Happy Days? |

| | I think that's a fair prediction of results coming up. The only unknown factor is the wafa cup games thrown in between. I'm not sure how good our league results are in matches directly after European games? |

| Ezza,
Surprisingly enough, they're very good.
Last season all of the following games were played on the next weekend after a European game on a Thursday:
Tottenham 0 - 0 Fulham Tottenham 2 - 1 Pompey Tottenham 1 - 0 West Ham Tottenham 3 - 1 Wigan Tottenham 2 - 1 Chelski Man City 1 - 2 Tottenham Chelsea 3 - 3 Tottenham (FA Cup) Tottenham 3 - 1 Watford Chelsea 1 - 0 Tottenham Wigan 3 - 3 Tottenham
I suppose we were lucky to be at home after most of the games, but that is still pretty impressive. |

| Didier Drogba is unhappy at Chelsea and wants to leave the club, according to France Football magazine. In an interview due to be published on Friday, the striker, 29, says morale has plummeted since Jose Mourinho left.
"I want to leave Chelsea. Something is broken with Chelsea," Drogba said. "The damage is big in the dressing room." But Chelsea said: "Didier signed a new four-year contract last year. As a top professional we're sure he is committed to Chelsea and intends to honour it."
France Football is a well-established magazine in France that awards the Ballon d'Or for the European Footballer of the Year.

Drogba joined Chelsea from Marseille for £24m in July 2004 and has been the subject of regular speculation since then despite a prolific record with the Blues.
He signed his new deal last November but told the BBC the following month that he had considered leaving the previous summer in the wake of Chelsea's second successive league title.
In the interview, Drogba is quoted as saying he wanted an even earlier exit and will not change his mind even if the club make high-profile signings next summer.
"Nothing can stop me from leaving now," he said.
Drogba says Barcelona, Real Madrid, AC Milan or Inter Milan would be his preferred destination.
"Since the day I arrived, I wanted to leave Chelsea and then again every summer," he said.
"I know that Ronaldinho and Kaka are linked to come next season but even that won't change my mind."

| May Drogba be the first of many to leave. Rats leaving a sinking ship!
Whilst we have our own issues, It looks likely that a-nother team could break into the top 4 to replace Chelski soon methinks

Won't be us. Man City maybe.
Spurs have too much to do and are missing the right manager / players to do so. |
