Is there anything more irritating than being forced to listen to the neighbours 8 year old daughter attempts to learn the piano ????

Oh this is driving me insane !!!!!!

Piano is not too bad.

Violin or Er-wu (the Chinese instrument) are much worse if you are learning to play

the old man upstairs is practically deaf - so requires rather high amplification to hear his chinese opera music (no offence to those who enjoy that kind of stuff - but for me i usually have to go and check my cat to make sure no one is strangling her). his neighbour (ie upstairs and across) has teenagers who (will never make it) are wannabe rockstars with a full electric drum kit and guitars... not so bad at 7pm (well it is actually but not much we can do about it then), but when they decide to RAWK ON after coming home at 1am, then that's a different story. Evil or Very Mad

I have a chap upstairs who likes to drop marbles or coins on the floor over and over again. Is this normal behavior? or should I be concerned about what is going on upstairs?

How can you be sure it was a chap?

According to some Chinese saying, the sound of 'marbles dropping' or 'coin dropping' are the footsteps of ghosts!!! affraid

According to scientific men, those sounds were just enumerated from the water or drainage pipes.

SNAP. I can't believe someone else has exactly the same problem. Fortunately for us it happens in the spare room but it annoyed my parents no end when they stay. I don't know what it is. My mum described it exactly the same - " drop marbles".

Now I'm really puzzled.

Tell you what, the flat I am living (at Happy Valley) is on the top floor. Many years ago I can always hear marbles dropping but surely there won't be anyone dropping marbles on the roof in the middle of the night!

maybe I should start a thread for Chinese ghost stories... affraid

i too have suffered from marble dropping headaches over the years - but defintely drowned out by the opera music and the 4am in the morning bladder emptying (I swear the guy must stand on the top of a ladder to pee to get that kinda impact noise).
