So, rumours are that Capello will ring the changes as England boss. Does this mean that Spurs boys will feature more again now?

We currently have 8 players who have represented England at senior level, none of them over 30, not to mention under-21 players like Alnwick and the Hudd.

Firstly, I'd propose that JJ's resurgence will see him in the squad, if not necessarily the team - he's just as good as Barry for example.

England Hostpur?
Robbo
Ledders
Big Tone (1 cap) Smile
Daws
Lennon
JJ
Defoe
Bent scratch

U-21
Hudd

Agreed, hence the scratchyheadsmiley. But what do you reckon about our various Lions and their place in Cappello's plans?

Robbo - not on present form (last 12 months) - I would make Green ENO right now
Ledders - will he ever be the same again Question Question
Big Tone (1 cap) - er, no, i dont think so
Daws - just doesnt seem the same without the Leds by his side - jurys out
Lennon - definetley. Seems to go in and out of form, probably due to his insatiable appetite for class A's. Stiiff arm of the law in the shape of Juande should sort the flying eyebrow out
JJ - Consistencys the key. Needs to perform every week
Defoe - seem to think Defoes gonna be a bit player wherever he goes, including England
Bent - not england material

U-21
Hudd - needs to show
Alnwick - ditto

Green is not ready. See how he ended up in no man's land when Dawson headed in the freekick? He made some good saves much like Robbo, but his positioning sense in the area is just as bad as all other England keepers.

If you look at all other contenders for ENO jersey critically, you'll appreciate that Robbo is still the best of all the averages.
