| Is Jezza Robbie Keane in disguise? Misses sitters and complains about decisions non-stop. James didn't make it to the quiz and wasn't missed at all, as his replacement, our young rookie from the SiHK Academy, scored a belter with hippos - make of that what you will. However, he did leave the quiz muttering something about the music round being for oldies, which would probably have suited James. Another great evening and another 4th place. Time for the team to move up a gear, so double training sessions scheduled for tomorrow. Oh, and Jezza certainly knows how to use a rubber. _________________ We're the Park Lane, we're the Park Lane, we're the Park Lane TOTTENHAM. |

| Nice that everyone contributed too!
45 yarders from Ozspur with "Graham Greene", myself with "filtrum" and mysterious stranger with the aforementioned "hippos"....I'm sure I'm missing someone....

| Serious tactic errors. Playing a 1-2-1 formation was a disaster.
Sorry Dannyboy but the old saying you win nothing with kids was very relevant tonight. I'm trying my hardest but when you give away sloppy passes like 'which country has the largest population ; Chad or Hong Kong' you are left wondering what has happened to the British education system.
Chad - land mass 1,284,000 sq km verses HK 1,104 sq km. Population of Chad 10m v's 6.9m HK.
..........and as for saying Panama canal ( 77km ) is longer than Suez canal ( 163 km).
John recovered from a moment of senile dementia after calling out George Graham as the author of 'Travels with My Aunt', but quickly regained his composure with an experienced 35 yard strike with Graham Greene.
Despite a couple of wobblies from Dannyboy, who has yet to convince the fans despite his youthful promise and a few wayward back passes from Ozspur, the team looked more solid with the absence of number 10, who may struggle to win back his place. The manager has not forgotten his disasterous shout for Africa or failure to convert the wonderful "Chesney Hawkes" pass from the ever industrious, hetresexual Spur'don, still very much the crowd favourite and darling of the Lockhart Rd end. |

| Now now landmass does not greater population make.
Take Australia vs Great Britain for example....
DannyBoy was on fine form tonight, despite getting a bit carried away with the anagram. I'm still fuming about the answer to that. Robbed, I tell ya.
My "wobblies" were all aided and abetted by Ozspur. I blame him.
And you still got the africa question wrong, one which we finally decided to go with your answer for.
In conclusion, ignore Jezza. _________________ Pulling on a spurs shirt is like getting a hug from God |

True......but not in this instance. Chad does have a higher population than Hong Kong.

| | Sounds to me like the team was lacking in the tenacious midfield leadership of Number 10. Plenty of pluses in the individual performances but needed the organisation in the middle of the park to blend the individuals of youngster Danny, veteran Oz and unpredictable Jez. |

| The problem with the team is the "laddishness" of some of the team members - too busy getting tanked up and not enough time training. Young Dannyboy has youth on his side and is able to cover up some of his off-pitch shenanigans with his alert mind and knowledge of Batman movies. Ozspur, being the veteran of the team, has been there, done that and seen it all. His steadiness of thought and the occasional flashes of former glory are enough to keep the team ticking along. It's Spurd'on and No.10 that worry the average pundit. When Spurd'on tried his best to nick off over to Fenwicks for a bit of 'research' in mid-quiz, you could hear alarm bells ringing, but it's the behaviour of no.10 that gives greatest cause for concern. His rantings at flat-screen tvs and his insistence on singing have alienated many of his fans. Media speculation about his state of health might see the SiHK quiz team look further afield for the 'tenacios midfielder' that is clearly needed for the team's push into the top 3. _________________ We're the Park Lane, we're the Park Lane, we're the Park Lane TOTTENHAM. |

| I have to say, these quizzes and the banter that goes along are really becoming one of my highlights of the week...outside of being "youthful", "a kid" and "laddish" of course _________________ Pulling on a spurs shirt is like getting a hug from God |

| May I just add i did correctly answer the question that nearly had me wandering to Fenwicks for 'research'.
Dannyboy has time on his side to improve and must refrain from writing down the first thing that comes to his head. Fortunately the versatile Spurd'on was there to erase his errors and bring some sensibility to the side.
Oszpur is losing the plot. Shouts of "George Graham" have left fans wondering if his better days are past him.
Next Monday is a massive night for Number 10......if selected. His failure to turn up has fans questioning his commitment. Replays of the "africa" call and a six yard chesney hawkes miss will not be easily forgotten by diehard sihkqt supporters. Opinion is mounting that Monday's solid display was a direct result of number 10 absense and it will take some convincing from him to win back the hearts of sihkqt growing fan base.
The big question is whether sihkqt can hold onto star player, spur'don, in the January window. Rumours are circulating Team X are preparing a massive bid with many concluding he has outgrown sihkqt. It will of course be a huge blow, not just for his quiz performances but also commerically. He is much appreciated in Wan Chai for his charm and good looks. The impact on shirt sales of sihk fc and monday night turnout in white stag could be devasting should he depart.
The big question in the coming weeks is whether the darling of Lockhart rd end will remain at sihkqt, and more importantly can the team maintain a top four spot if he does decide to move on.

| From the BBC:
SiHKQT reacted quickly to deny leaked rumours of a training ground bust up between self-styled 'star player' Spurdon and veteran Ozspur. An inside source claims that Spurdon has a high opinion of his own abilities and has riled fellow teammates with what is perceived as showboating in training. Many fans have been questioning the fullback's contribution to the team, so the news of unrest comes as no great surprise.
Witnesses at the training ground claimed that Spurdon clattered into academy youngster Dannyboy with a reckless challenge and the youthful player retaliated with a playful slap, before the usually level-headed Ozspur waded into the action.
The club were quick to dismiss the incident as exaggerated and taken out of context. When pressed to address whether the loss of control from Spurdon could be a side-effect of his alleged use of the banned substance wikipediandrolone, a club spokesman declined to comment. |

Absolutely cracked me up! Had me laughing out aloud in the staffroom, much to the total bewilderment of my local colleagues - well at least those not sleeping. _________________ We're the Park Lane, we're the Park Lane, we're the Park Lane TOTTENHAM. |
