Interview with Spur’don, the versatile quiz champ and female heart throb of SIHKQT.

There’s been suggestion last Monday was your last appearance for SIHKQT. What do you say to those rumours ?

Absolutely no substance whatsoever. The fans know I love playing for SIHKQT and I’ll be there, with pen and paper this coming Monday hopefully to record our first win of the campaign

Why though hasn’t the team excelled like some predicted ?

I’ve said before you win nothing with kids and whilst I support the good intentions of allowing youth to blossom, it shouldn’t extend to allocating key positions, such as writing answers, to those just starting out professionally. Younger players lack discipline – they are more inclined to miss quizzes because of staff parties or dating. The older members focus on the job in hand - it’s the highlight of our week and not to be taken lightly.

Are you referring to Dannyboy ?

Okay…..how about if I say was it inexperience that caused someone to write on the back of the answer sheet, the same sheet you later needed to rub out in time for the music round ?

Well, you said that, not me. Let’s just say that sort of mistake is eradicated over time and fortunately there was enough strong wrist movement by other team mates to erase the mess.

There are allegations you used the banned substance wikipediandrolone. What’s your response ?

I can’t answer that. My lawyers are preparing legal action so I am not able to provide further comment.

How do react to rumour surrounding your personal life after answering Chesney Kawkes and Luke Goss correctly? Is it something that bothers you?

Not at all. I’ve been happily married for 11 years so those taunts from opposition fans is water off a duck’s back for me.

How does you wife react to all your female attention ?

Oh she’s use to it by now. It’s sometimes embarrassing walking from the pub back to MTR. I do get a lot of scantly dressed females calling out for me to come over and have a drink….would you believe, some even offer a massage…. but you know…you just have to smile politely and walk on by.

Jezza's being modest. It was all his own work. The lad has a very supple wrist it must be said.

In - of course lah. What about our tenacious mid-fielder?

Think we will miss the youthful exuberence of young Dannyboy. But if we make Top 3, then he'll struggle to get back in.
