Did not disgrace ourselves at all. Controversial new style of rounds led to too many 10 out of 10s, took the edge off the quiz for me. Great moments...John sticking his neck out and fighting the group decision over romance vs crime, if only Spurs were that determined....James10 and his european map drawing...Sophie and her knowledge of big russian bells....Dannyboy and his hat-trick of shooters...me and Bette Davis. James10 won the individual round (well played Sir) and we would of won the team round if 'we' had just taken a few seconds to check one of the answers(no fingers will be pointed). As pointed out, perhaps if we had had a 6th member we would of done better than equal third. Never mind, there's always next week. (Anyone ever heard the song' Brother can you spare me a dollar?)

A creditable 3rd place. But me and Danny left kicking ourselves over three points dropped that we coulda got and won us the quiz (albeit the team only got 7 questions wrong in the whole quiz and an impressive final tally of 57):

Okay, I think the state capital of Mississipi is Jackson, BUT I'm only guessing that because you've given us a clue so did the quiz master also say it begins with a J ? Is it the right answer ?

In what sport would you find a Free Safety? No idea which probably means it's an American sport. I say Ice Hockey ?

What 7 letter fish family is the Anchovie in? Nope.

American Football for Free Safety.

Anchovy = Herring family.

The extra point you would have given us still wouldnt have been sufficent for 2nd, so nevermind.

57 points, I'm pretty sure, is our highest ever total at the quiz.
