What Linesmann said + Gough. He was class for that one season in '87. if he'd stayed for another couple of years we could have achieved something with that team

totally agree. If Gough had stayed we'd have done something in 1988. He had a good partnership with Chris Fairclough.

Woody only played 10 odd games for us. It's too early to rank him too high. I am sure he will go up the ladder - maybe surpassing even Gough, Campbell etc if he sets his sights high enough!

I take your point, and that was my rationale for Keano ahead of Berba, but come on, Richards! 2 seasons of him vs half a season of Woody, and Woody has done enuf in that time already.

Agreed, Richards was simply awful.

A big ugly centre half who cdn't even head the ball properly!
