we need a mic (two turntables optional) to have a pwopa awards ceremony. I think we should go somewhere special after the tram. Can we hire Fenwicks for a few hours? I have a prize I need to give out...

Gentlemen, I don't mind to get involved but certainly more helping hands would be great. You'll notice my postcounts are dropping rapidly because of house moving and wedding happening at the same time. Plus as I said, I may not be able to stay on the tram for too long as I have to attend a wedding banquet that night in Kowloon.

Did I just win the Best Excuse Award?

As discussed with SiHKQT last night I dont mind being involved as well, perhaps between the two of us we can organise this James?

Discussed it briefly at Champs Bar between the 'hardcores'. We should hold a end of year award at the tram party. Let the nomination begins! Below are some tasters.

1. Catchphrase of the Year

a) "NOY YET FINISHED" - by Edman

b) "Ejaculate the energy" by Sam

c) "If we play offside, we need to have a refugee" by Sam

2. The "too much time on his hands" Award

a) GDG

b) Spurdon

3. SIHK Contributor of the Year

a) Daniel for being the founding father

b) Badbaz for making the SIHK tshirts

c) Edman for making the SIHKFC kits

4) Funniest Thread of the Year

5) Most irrational poster of the Year

6) Most surreal moment at Delaneys of the Year

a) The no sound, washboard, candle match v ?

b) The phantom goal v Liverpool

c) The Welsh v Birmingham

Gentlemen, what is the best way of doing this? Having all awards posted up and then people putting in nominations and THEN voting for them either on the board or via pm/email to me or james? Sounds a somewhat lengthy process. How many awards should there be? We can't be on it all night, should they be done on the tram or at the pub afterwards or at a different occassion? I am quite happy to devise some certificates (i showed the paper to jez, oz and softcore last night) but would prefer to print them out on sunday (nip into the office and do a sneaky) so we'll need to really step up gear on this.

Dannyboy, you can send me the soft copy of the certs and I will print them off at office - no problem with that. Save you going back to office on Sunday

I suggest people post their suggestions on the list of awards in this thread. For certain awards which may require multiple choices so as to make voting viable, please also list the nominations. Eg, the catchphrase of the year.

We will close off this process by this saturday and voting will begin after Dannyboy and I have typed up a list of the awards. People can send us PMs or emails with their votes. Hopefully this can work.

Comments?

Your name is printed on the trophy (actually only a recycled A4 paper) for the "funniest smileys" already

Others please continue to think of good and funny awards to be given out!

I'd suggest we use this thread to come up with the list of awards, then you publish an announcement thread with the final list and nominations (nominations either come out of these discussions or agreed by JY and DB as organisers)

Then email/PM JY and DB with votes.
