PostSubject: Entering a league?   Sun Nov 18 2007, 22:55

Now that we've got a few more guys coming along to play, I thought I'd raise the possibility again of entering a league, in order to get us regular games, without having to arrange pitches etc.

The Diadora League wants more teams to enter in January. For it to be worthwhile, we'd need to get a squad of about 25 players. People would need to commit to playing maybe 2 out of every 3 weekends on average (excepting injuries and suspensions). Games are Sunday late afternoon / early evening.

Please reply with a YES or a NO and indicate roughly how often you could play. Even if you could only play 1/2 the games or less, indicate this please. If we have a core group of players, with some fringe players (due to travel/family commitments etc), it could be possible.

IN
JamesY
Craig
Jez
Danny
Kinson
Savio
Paul (Part time)
Barrylinker (have you made an appearance yet?)
Dan (part time 1/3)
Sam (2/3)

OUT
Aaron
Edman

IN or OUT?
Linesmann
Chris
Paul
Janek
Bennycat
Bennylee
Tony
Eric
Justin
Ozspur
John Tottingham
Ezza
Hairy
???
???
???

(don't have a list, so apologies to anyone I'm forgetting - I'll edit the list above later)

IN.

Having said that, I am unfortunately away for 2 weeks on business to Europe in early / mid Feb.

Other than that, I should be available most weekends.

Nothing like a competitive game to get the best out of players. Enough of the friendlies !

I cannot commit for Jan and Feb. Other than that, if it doesn't clash with my La Salle league (on alternate Sundays) match, I will be available.

It has already been stated that Sunday is a family day;
So guess what? The wife and kids get to watch me play football!
