| My league team has just had some amazing footy shirts made by local sports brand Kukri for a very reasonable price (not only do they look great but actually allow your body to breathe)... twas suggested after last Sunday's game that we should arrange to get some proper SiHK footy shirts made for our games and also can be used as trendy pubwear.
Wanted to get a idea of who might be interested - probably would cost in the region of HK$250@ (hopefully I'm not way off with the budget here) - to see if this project was workable (I don't mind co-ordinating).
On the design side was thinking of the following:
1. A predominantly white shirt (round neck) with some navy blue trim of some kind.
2. An embroidered logo - either exactly as on Baz's wonderful t-shirts, or possibly the Cockerel on a HK flag with "Spurs in Hong Kong" text underneath
3. All shirts to carry numbers - which we can argue over at a later stage
4. SiHK log-in names on the back of the shirts
Thoughts and gauge of interest please... |

| Yes please.
As discussed with Bennycat and me as well: we could have real name above the number and login name below, like on some continental kits where they have the sponsor there.
2nd, could we get sponsored by anyone's employer? or Delaneys? They could perhaps contribute 1/2 the cost of the shirts?
3rd, if we use the old spurs badge, I believe its not copyrighted so noone could complain.
4th - we could have a 'design the SiHKFC logo competition'! |

| btw if cost proves to be prohibitive, I know another kit manufacturer that a few local teams use - Super X - I've seen some of their kits and they look half decent. They can customise according to whatever colours you desire.

Having said that I think the Kukri deal is good if it includes printing of names and numbers etc. |

1. from the options I've looked at thus far - only able to do one row of text for name - suggest individual purchasers choice... REAL or STAGE NAME.
2. Good idea - dependent on extra cost of getting a sponsor on the shirt. Personally I'd rather pay $230 (current estimation from website) and be a football traditionalist and go without a sponsor logo - but will go with majority (I'd rather get 20% discount all year instead of 10% - that'll cover the cost of the shirt!!)
3 and 4... I like the idea of having something "originalish", Kukri wont print anything if dont have permission from copyright owner - again more views on this appreciated.
Estimation is a 8 week lead time for production - so if we can get design ideas in the next week or two, we should have by early december.
Daniel - the options are for collars, round neck, v-neck (my league team is round neck - I can show the shirt at next Sun's kickaround for anyone who wants to see it)... difficult to suit all - but we will take majority vote when we finalise order.
They also do infants and kids sizes ($120 or $210) - terrific - the kids will look good too! |

| Yes, Super X is very heavy.
So are we abandoning our Puma Spurs kit for the SIHK FC matches? Oh they will have to be worn at home again... _________________ To dare is to do |

| | I want one, and I'll start the arguing over the numbers right here, I want number 3. I think we know what number No.10 would like, too. |

Didnt we have this discussion a while back and it was shot down because people wanted to wear the spurs shirts instead? |
