| Here it is Lady and Gentleman, your official SiHK FC Preview:
Game Number Two!
SpursinHongKong vs Sam’s Soldiers KO 9:30PM 21/7/07 at Happy Valley Pitch No 13 or 14.
Fresh from victory against HK Spurs, the undefeated SiHK FC return to the scenes of their glorious triumph to take on new challengers - the ominously named Sam’s Soldiers. Serious injuries to goalkeeper Ezza and Centre-back Hairy and rest periods for DannyBoy, Daniel and GDG have prevented any fixtures until Saturday, and as a result the appetite has been well and truly whetted for this clash of titans.
As a result of their famous victory, no detailed introduction of the individual players are needed as their fame has been spread throughout the land in fable, rhyme and song - be it “The Ballad of Ezza’s Groin” or the epic saga “The Woe of Hairy’s Big Toe ”. Returning back to the squad will be spine of the team in Ezza between the sticks, in defence the Bash Brothers of “Iron Man” Daniel and “Rock of Gibraltar” Hairy, the midfield General/Captain/Manager/Physio GDG and the SiHK joint-leading goalscorer James. Joining them will be the equally important figures of the wing wizards Chris and Paul, the most vocal member on bench and pitch Edmund, self-proclaimed Tap-In Artist DannyBoy and also self-proclaimed “number 10” N17 James.
Much missed will be Super Sub himself Ozspur, and it is still unknown whether Spur’don will be reuniting with the team for this match. Legend has it he will be running a one-man crime syndicate in the Happy Valley area in an attempt to steal DannyBoy’s Spurs shirt, it is rumored but not confirmed that he may be using Paul as his “muscle”. Hong Kong Police have been informed and will be patrolling the Happy Valley area at DannyBoy’s insistence. To round out the team it has been suggested by some that two as-of-yet unknown players will be joining SpursinHongKong in circumstances involving Chris as the go-between. Whether SiHK will be therefore signing Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano is unknown but deemed probable.
The match against Sam’s Soldiers will once more depend on a couple of major questions.
Defensive Solidity? Firstly whether the Bash Brothers can continue you their strong defence of the last game, initially SiHK started their previous game with Ezza in defence and Hairy in goal and conceded 2 goals early on, once they swapped position SiHK shut up shop, so theoretically if they can continue this form SiHK will have a solid foundation from which to build.
Midfield Control? GDG was essential in keeping things going against HK Spurs, if he can control the game again and get on the ball, SiHK will dominate this crucial area of the pitch creating a buffer for the defence and looking to play in their attackers. The pace on the flanks of Paul and Chris both offensively and defensively will also be key.
Number 10? It is clear that in the last game SiHK found their Berbatov in James, but where is the goal poaching striker? Their Lineker? Whilst the outstanding ability of the HK Spurs Keeper should be remembered (does he want a transfer?) the finishing needs to perhaps be more clinical. N17 James has laid claim to the coveted number 10 spot and may feel he has something to prove on Saturday. Having returned from a successful trip abroad scoring in Thailand (N.B. this statement is DannyBoy approved ), he and SiHK may feel that Saturday is the day for N17 James. Also look for DannyBoy to add to his tally of tap-ins. Lightening sometimes strikes twice.
As the forthcoming match will be a 7 a-side match as oppose to 9 a-side doubtless some tactical changes will have to be made and it remains to be seen how Manager GDG will layout SiHK in what should surely be an intriguing battle of wits on and off the pitch.
Predicted Score: 4-3 to SIHK

| | The lack of width in the pitch is worrying my fleet footed mind....forcing me to play the ball inside may highlight my glaring lack of ball control.... |

| Great job, Dan. The smaller pitch will be to my liking at least, I was knackered after about twenty minutes last time out. Might make it a tad more difficult to play that killer ball inside the fullback, but it may also mean that we can get a bit closer to the forwards amd help them out a bit once we've given them the ball.
Remember, pasta at 7pm, lots of fluid through the day (non-alcoholic!) and at least one bottle of Gatorade/Pocari Sweat in the bag on the evening.

Careful GDG,
Sam or one of his secretive soldiers could be lurking...

| | I think they saw us playing, which is how this game came about, and decided we looked like easy prey for their team. No discussion about selection/tactics until we arrive at the ground and find out who's been on the sauce already. |

| | The number 12 shirt beckons again? Surely you learned your lesson last time about the effects of acohol, extreme heat and humidity, and exercise? |

| Only water and Pocari Sweat (still not used to the name of that drink) pre-match.
Besides I'll need to have my wits about me incase spur'don tries to do a post-match shirt-swap.
Rumor has it I may have one or two drinks post-match |
