They have too many CM now. Hargreaves, Anderson, Scholes and Carrick. Would not surprise me if they use Carrick as a bait to lure us to sell Berbs. _________________ To dare is to do |

| | I could see us getting Carrick back, but I really don't see us selling Berba. And if we do sell him, not in the EPL. |

| I take a slightly different view. On the assumption that Fergie knows a thing or two about football and central midfielders in general (let's face it he's had a few good ones in his time - Robson, Keane, Scholes), then why would he be prepared to sell Carrick and why did he buy Hargreaves after Carrick?
Answer: 'cos Carrick ain't all he's cracked up to be. One decent season at Spurs. Buggers off to a side with world class players all around him and struggles to get regular games and/or make a significant impression. A modern day Ray Wilkins I tells ya.
I certainly wouldn't have Carrick back. |

| | Credit where credit's due. Levy did a fantastic bit of business selling Carrick for squillions of quid to manyou. However, one big feck up we made was selling Mendes The Pirate to Pompey. I'd still have him in our squad no problem. |

Levy often does well selling players.
I don't rate Mendes that highly. Good player but not top four. He is struggling to get into the Pompey side. |

| I would take Carrick back, I think he is a class player. However, I'd rather sell Berba abroad for around 30m and then spend 10m of that getting Carrick back.
Problem is that if Carrick is for sale, Newcastle might go in for him and offer him silly money per week. _________________ The great fallacy is that the game is first and last about winning. | I very much hope I'm wrong about this, but, Berba's off to Italy. Carrick won't be back. Good call on the barcodes.
Did anyone see this on the net ?
"Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov admits he may not be able to handle another summer of frenzied transfer speculation.
Berbatov has received an award from Ivaylo Kalfin, the Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs, for his contribution to the country. The Bulgaria international plans to set up a foundation for gifted children in his home country.
He admitted that there was interest in him from other clubs. "If any conversations with AC Milan start, I will be flattered," he said. "My head will boil again in the summer from the transfer speculation. I know the price [Tottenham want], but I won't tell you."
