YOUNES KABOUL is said to be close to completing his move to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Auxerre defender has been linked with a move to White Hart Lane for a number of months and the French club's vice-president Gerard Bourgoin has admitted that talks with Spurs are at an advanced stage.

"There are very serious discussions with Tottenham but they are not finalised yet", Bourgoin told AFP.

"However, one can be optimistic about the way the negotiations are going."
