| WIGAN ATHLETIC are considering making a move for Tottenham Hotspur's Danny Murphy.
The midfielder is unsettled at Spurs after failing to break into Martin Jol's first-team plans since his move from Charlton in January 2006.
Wigan boss Chris Hutchins is willing to give the England international a lifeline to return to regular first-team Premiership football with Newcastle United also said to be monitoring the situation. |

| | Good for everyone, I'd say - I'm still amazed we bothered to buy him after he blanked us to go to Charlton. Unless, of course, we bought him deliberately to stick him in the reserves and fester for a couple of seasons as punishment for turning us down first time. A ridiculous scenario, but he's hardly played a game since he arrived, so one has to ask why we bought him. |

| | That dive is right up there in the top five of all-time terricble dives. I scored a goal exactly the same as Murphy's just this Monday, straight from a corner on the small pitch, does that qualify me to play for Spurs? |

| | I rarely venture that far up the pitch - unless the oppo aren't very good , in which case I'm prone to showing off. We'll see next Saturday. |

| | If you see me going down in the box a la Murphy it won't be because I am looking for a pen. It will be because I am having a heart attack. Tell tale signs are the blue face and the clutching of the chest. Keep an eye out for it.... |
