| Reading the newspapers articles running the Jol saga, and one of them carried this story:-
| Quote: | The directors were acutely embarrassed in 2005 when Tottenham missed out on a Champions League place by losing the last game of the season at West Ham in controversial circumstances.
Half the squad were laid low by a stomach bug and Jol blamed a dodgy lasagne at the team hotel.
The club demanded a replay and threatened to sue the Premier League if they didn’t get their way.
It emerged now-departed midfielder Michael Carrick had in fact, infected his team-mates with a virus. |
What? Michael Carrick! _________________ To dare is to do |
