| He's apparently 175m tall, which means he can't be a target man. _________________ The great fallacy is that the game is first and last about winning. It is nothing of the kind. | According to English newspaper The Daily Mail, Spurs manager Juande Ramos is lining up a £4million offer for Nacional's Bruno Fornaroli.
The Mail reorts that Ramos, who this weekend agreed terms with Dinamo Zagreb for midfied playmaker Luka Modric, is also moving quickly to register his interest in the 20-year-old Uruguayan striker.
Apparently Tottenham's hand has been forced by the emergence on the scene Spanish giants Real Madrid, who have lodged an enquiry for Fornaroli, who
Ramos is wel informed about Uruguayan football and players because his assistant is ex-Uruguay midfielder Gus Poyet.
Fornaroli, nicknamed the "Tuna", has also attracted interest from Italian clubs Juventus, Napoli, and Lazio, while Real Madrid had scouts watching Nacional's Copa Libertadores first round clash with Cienciano last Wednesday.
Goal.com's South American correspondent Gregory Sica adds that Fornaroli is currently the top scorer in the Uruguayan Clausura Championship with six goals, and has played an important role, as Nacional look to close in on the league title with only a few more rounds remaining this season.
Real Madrid scouts are expected in Montevideo again this week when Nacional face Brazilian champions Sao Paulo in the first leg of the Copa Libertadores last sixteen at the Parque Central stadium.
A good performance from Fornaroli could persuade Los Merengues to propose a firm deal, so Ramos may have to pull out the stops if he wants the young strikler at White Hart Lane.

| According to Wikipedia, David Villa is also only about 175cm. .. nowhere near tall enough as a natural replacement for Berba either then. Top player. You have gotta be doing something right to replace Raul (RM) in the starting XI for the Spanish national team |
